But even we were not prepared for the brilliant 3-hour Endurance race which was Back on Track 2018. Despite the speed… and it’s pretty fair to say that all the teams were fast… and the competitive spirit…it was good natured and great fun. The mix of Amateur and Professional drivers ensured that all teams had a chance of winning…and the race lead changed several times, but in the end it was a Clean Sweep whose name will be engraved on the Mark Allen Trophy as 2018 winners.

Congratulations to them, and all the drivers and spectators who came to support us this year. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, along with new friends like Rory Reid from Top Gear; Ronan Busfield from BGT; actor Darius Campbell; magician Diobo; Christian Vit from Holby; Gary Cockerill; Make Up Supremo; Phill Turner, Interiors Guru; La Voix – performer extraordinaire…and of course our lovely Patron, Andrea McLean.

We were also lucky to be working with The Lee Rigby Foundation and The Irish Guards – both of whose drivers were only narrowly pipped at the winning post. Better luck next year!

Then we all celebrated with a glass or two of delicious Blanc de Blancs fizz generously donated by Rickety Bridge, a boutique winery in Cape Town. We celebrated some more when Baron Homes won a case of the wine to try for themselves, then celebrated again anyway!

But special thanks go to MariPharm who were our headline sponsors, their generosity makes it possible for us to help even more injured service personnel. MariPharm are experts in delivering the finest quality CBD products… check out their website maripharm.co.uk. And if you like what you see and want to try for yourself, then enter code BOT10 when prompted and MariPharm will donate 10% of the sale to Back on Track.
