Dancing With Heroes – Frightfully Glamorous

Our Dancing with Heroes 2019 Ball was an absolute, star-studded blast from beginning to end. The food was delicious, the wine flowed…and so did the tears, when Pete Hobbs was presented with the first Award for Achievement having come out of a very tough 12 month period of adversity. He had literally turned his life around and was a worthy winner.

Then the entertainment began. Darius was first up on stage, seducing us with his smooth vocals. Cassidy Jansen followed and soon half the room was on the dance floor…and this was during dinner! But Beverley Knight literally blew us away with a performance which brought shivers to the spine…anyone who heard her version of Memories, from Cats will never forget it…and by the time she was into her third number dinner had been abandoned and everyone was on the dance floor. Peace reigned for a short while and then Peter Andre took to the stage. He was electrifying… let’s just say that whatever it was that made him a star in the Mysterious Girl era he has still got…in bucketloads. Cue more dancing, arm waving and the aforementioned dancing on tables.

All of our guests and celebrities danced their socks off and yes, we do mean you Gillian Taylforth, Andrea McLean, Melinda Messenger, Vicki Michelle, Chico Slimani, Christian Vit, Danny John Jules, Linda Barker, Jan Leeming and Glynis Barber. Our Heroes got in on the action too…Sgt Johnson Beharry VC showed off some enviable dance moves, as did the DMRC and BackUp Trust guests…many of them in wheelchairs. All in all, it was wonderful, uplifting food for the soul…and we can’t wait to do it again. Will you join us? We are taking reservations for tables and tickets for Dancing with Heroes 2021 Ball now…so get in touch and make sure that it’s you strutting your stuff with our Heroes in 2021. But be quick because we have a limited number of tables available.
