The Stars Truly Came out for Heroes…
What a fantastic Cabaret it was! The Stars did truly come out for our Heroes at The Pheasantry in the Kings Road, London on 24th April. Our Emcee, Sam Kane was magnificent in managing the whole event, introducing one wonderful musician after another, as well as overseeing the Live Auction and cajoling ever-higher bids for some amazing prizes, helping us to raise much-needed funds to swell our Covid-depleted coffers.

After an introduction by Back on Track Patron, Dr Aamer Khan and over pizzas and wine, we were royally entertained. Dee Anderson had written a song especially for us threatening dire consequences if auction prizes remained unsold…which had everyone in stitches. The legend that is instrumentalist Mo Pleasure, and his powerhouse of a partner, Welsh singer Kedma, showed us how soul really does rule the music world.
Friederike Krum, acclaimed mezzo soprano took us into another musical dimension with such classics as Nessun Dorma. Lucy and Jack Kane changed the atmosphere up again showing what a great musical future they both have, and finally La Voix took to the stage with a entertaining set beginning with Simply the Best followed by comedy sketches and a wickedly funny version of Downtown… which basically was a send up of everyone in the room. Our sides were aching by the end.

So… huge thanks to the team at The Pheasantry, all the performers and back-stage staff who helped make this such a success.
To paraphrase The Terminator….we will be back!
